Funeral services for Mrs Phoebe Jane Self, who died at 1:30 p.m. Friday following an illness which began in 1933, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the West Street Christian church, with Rev. Robert Morris in charge. The body was taken to the Ogle & Little home for funerals, where it will remain until 2 p.m. Sunday, when it will be returned to the Self home on U.S. 31 about a half a mile south of state road 28. Mrs. Self, who was 94, was born Jan. 8, 1851 in Rush county to William and Barbara Eleanor (Mount) Burton. Mrs. Self came to Tipton county in 1884 following her marriage to P.F. Self of Decatur county on March 1, 1882. Mr, and Mrs. Self moved to the farm where Mrs. Self lived. Mr. Self died in 1933. Mrs. Self was educated in Rush county schools and was a member of the West Street Christian church. Survivors include three daughters, Pearl and Ethel, both at home, and Mrs. R.S. Glass, of Windfall; one grandson, D.W. Glass, near Windfall; great- grandsons, several cousins, two nieces and one nephew.
