Rosa Emma Aaron, a resident of Kingsland for 40 years, coming from San Antonio, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17 in Kingsland at the age of 98 years.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1909, to Emma (Mouser) Finch and Claude Finch in Crown. Mrs. Aaron was a member of First Union Church in Buchanan Dam.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Thomas Aaron Sr., her parents, one grandson, two sisters, and three brothers.
Mrs. Aaron was survived by daughters, Virginia VonPechmann of Houston and Clariece Farris and husband Larry of Kingsland; sons, Marvin Aaron Jr. and wife Alice of Kingsland, William Aaron and wife Anita of Kingsland, and Claude Aaron Sr. and wife Pat of Pleasanton; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Friday, Aug. 22 at First Union Church in Buchanan Dam at 10 a.m., with Rev. Jerald Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills. Visitation is Thursday, Aug. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home in Kingsland.
