Abigail Ann Bostic, 45, of Craig County, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 21, 2008. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death was her mother, Margaret Ann Bostic; and sister, Lucinda Bostic. Her surviving family includes her fiance, Michael Terry Necessary; son, Whitney Huffman and fiance, Denise Meadows; daughter, Miranda Huffman and fiance, Dwain Sowers; brother, Jack Bostic and wife, Sue; sisters, Linda Smith and husband, Larry, and Margie Bostic; grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon, Brice, Ryan, Chase, Hunter, Miranda, Alex and Travis; and nieces and nephews, Dave and Linda Bostic, Luke and Jessica Smith, Lee and Christy Sarver, Wesley Bostic, and Sarah and Adam Cecil. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2008, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem with the Rev. Danny L. Kesler officiating. A period of visitation will follow until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be mailed in memory of Abigail Bostic to the Farmers and Merchants Bank, P.O. Box 400, New Castle, Va. 24127.
