AAGESEN, Robert L. - Of Flint, age 78, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Briarwood Manor in Flint. Funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road at 1PM Thursday, July 7, 2005, Dr. Steven J. Buck officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. Visitation 4-8PM Tuesday and 11-3PM and 5-8PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on November 11, 1926, the son of the late, Nels and Ethel Aagesen. He graduated from Bendle High School 1944. Robert served in the United States Army during World War II in the Philippines. He owned Aagesen Brothers Builders for 28 years. He then went to work for Future Homes in Davison. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Mary; children, Joan and husband Bob Fortune of Flint, James and wife Karen of Flint, Janet and husband Jack Ogg of Lapeer; grandchildren, Jason (Chris), Melisa (Rob), Justin, Amy (John), R. Andrew (Jamie), Joshua (Jennifer), Kasey (Ryan), Stacey (Brent), Mary (Derrec), Julie; 8 great-grandchildren, Kelsie, Blayne, Tori, Trenton, Faith, Madison, Joseph and Bryce; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Arthur, Kenneth and Donald. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Genesys Hospital and to the staff at Briarwood Manor.
