Martin Kenneth "Marty" Shellito was the son of Alfred William Shellito (1886-1961) and his wife Bertha Belle (Carman) McNutt (1888-1936).

Martin married Martha Esther Warner, daughter of Henry "Harry" Donnelly Warner Sr., and his wife Elsie Mabel Jones.

For some reason within the family, Martin was known as "Martin Kenneth "Marty" Shellito I, when he was actually a Sr.
