He was born November 9, 1931 in Covington, Virginia a son of Helen Brown Ailstock of Utah and the late Legrand Amos Ailstock, Sr.
Mr. Ailstock was a retired electrician from Arcadia Polymers in Iron Gate, a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Clifton Forge, a member of the Alleghany Highlands Association of Retarded Citizens, a member of the Alleghany Humane Society and was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his mother, Helen Brown Ailstock, he is survived by his wife, Juanita Craft Ailstock of Clifton Forge; one son, Daniel Louis Ailstock of Clifton Forge; four sisters, Marie Lepold of Surprise, AZ, Shirley Stevens of Lexington, VA, Evilee Greer of Selma and Deanna Atkins of Douglasville, GA; one brother, Paul Ailstock of Apex, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
