He was born February 28, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late George and Isabel (Mouawad) Albert. He was a life-long-resident of Wilkes-Barre and a graduate of GAR High School. He attended Compton College, California.
A United States Army veteran, Ed served in the Korean War and was stationed in Okinawa. He was a lifelong member of St. Anthony-St. George Maronite Church, Wilkes-Barre. He was partner in the firm of Bloomsburg Metal, Wilkes-Barre.
Edward loved his family and greatly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He enjoyed gardening and had a love for attending to his flowers and yard. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Ed will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lavon Evans; two nieces, and a nephew.
Surviving in addition to his beloved wife, Delores Kadtke Albert; and his son, Edward J. Albert II and his wife, Kim of Hanover Twp.; a daughter, Deidre Phillips and her husband, Reggie of Middleton N.Y.; two grandsons, Jarret and Jeffery; brothers, Albert Albert Sr., George Albert; sisters, Lorraine Dougherty, Ramsey Lykon, Ann Gola; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, with services in St. Anthony Maronite Church 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery Hanover Twp. Friends may call Sunday 5 to 8 p.m.
