She was born Nellie B. Webb, March 21, 1891, at Waterville to Richard P. and Alice (Hensel) Webb. The family moved to Wenatchee and settled on a ranch on the Lower Monitor Road in 1899. She attended schools in Wenatchee until the Beacon Hill School was built in 1903 in the Sunnyslope area and she completed her education there.
She married Marvin A. Peters, May 15, 1910, at Wenatchee. They made their first home in Wenatchee before moving to Plain in 1913, where they developed a diversified farm. The Peters moved in 1925 to Sunnyslope where they bought orchard land and operated the Elk Horn fruit stand for many years. They retired in 1972, sold their orchard and moved to Wenatchee. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on May 15, 1980. Mr. Peters died August 16, 1980.
Mrs. Peters was a member of the Wenatchee Brethren Baptist Church United and was active in its Women's Fellowship for many years. She was a member of the Evergreen Women's Circle of Plain, the Sunshine Circle in Sunnyslope, and was a 41-year member of the Beacon Hill Grange.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur C. Peters, East Wenatchee, and Lester M. Peters, Seattle; one daughter, Mrs. George (Hazel) Saunders, Leavenworth; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great0great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one granddaughter.
