He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, country music and dancing. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving in the US Army. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 429.
He worked at Advanced Cast Products, Inc for 3 years as an iron pourer and also for the City of Meadville.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include a daughter Carrie Wood of Meadville; a step daughter, Sandra (John) Tracy of Meadville; four step sons, Eugene (Tamara) Mook of Edinboro, William (Tammy) Mook of Meadville, James Mook of Linesville and Robert (Lisa) Mook of Albion; a grandson, Benjamin Russell Goodemote; several step grand children; five sisters, Florence (Richard) Manross of Saegertown, Frances (Junior) Shorts of Meadville, Patricia (Benny) Barretta of Meadville, Shirley (Albert) O'Neil of Cochranton, Joanne (Barry) Rice of Meadville; a brother William (Betty) Wood of Saegertown. He was preceded in death by an infant sister and infant brother and a sister Beverly (Frank) Leonhart of Townville.
