David John Eagen was born in Arlington Columbia Co. WI. January 17, 1882, and died following an operation at Marquette University Hospital in Milwaukee WI. on July 23, 1929. He was united in marriage to Emma Zerbel on November 25, 1903. To this union were born eight children.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and seven children. One son having died two years ago. The children are Lyell of Pardeeville Ione now Mrs. T. Clemmons of Portage, Hazel now Mrs Gordon Heft of Rio, Kenneth, Dorethy, Geraldine and Jack living at home. Four sisters, Mrs Margaret Allen, Mrs Edward Courtney of Milwaukee, Mrs John Dussling of Portage, and Mrs Alice Keyser of Oregon. A sister Mrs John Curtis and a brother Oliver preceded him in death. Four brothers John, William and Roy of Pardeeville and Thomas of Washington.
Many friends and relatives will ever remember Mr. Eagen as a good friend and neighborand a valuable man for the County, working for good roads and in the County shops. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and will be sadly missed in his home.
Funeral services were held from St. Mary's Church Friday July 26,1929 The Rev. H. J. Koester officating. Interment Rocky Run Cemetery
