Husband of Annie Louise "Lizzy" Binz, married on 4/18/1917 in Bexar County. There were no children of this marriage.

Obituary From The San Antonio Express, April 19, 1943: ACKERMANN--J Albert Ackermann, 58 years, died Sunday at 2727 E Houston St. Survivors, widow, Mrs Anna Ackermann; brothers, Otto, Arthur, Walter, Norwin, Milton & Theodore Ackermann; siters, Mrs Edna Kraft and Mrs Lydia Kraft. Services at the Chapel of the Riebe Funeral Home, Tuesday at 3:00PM, with services at St Gerards Church at 3:30. Rev Phillip Kvasnica officiating. Interment at St Mary's Cemetery.
