Obituary from the San Antonio Express, Sept 4, 1964: ACKERMANN--Mrs Annie Louisa (Liza) Ackermann, 2727 E Houston St, born in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, May 11, 1880, passed away on Wednesday, Sept 2, 1964, at a local hospital, at the age of 84 years. Rosary will be recited at Alamo Chapels, Tuesday, Sept 3, at 3:30pm. Blessing services will be held in Alamo Chapels, Fri, Sept 4, at 8:30am, followed by Requiem Mass which will be offered at St Gerard's Catholic Church (1617 Iowa)at 9:00am with Rev Alphonse Abadis, C.S.S.R., celebrant. Interment will be in the St Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Survivors, sisters: Mrs Mary Fey, Selma, Texas; Mrs Tillie George, Kirby, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Ackermann was a member of the St Gerard's Catholic Church and had been a lifelong resident of San Antonio. Pallbearers will be Phillip Fey, H H Miller, Henry Binz, Alvin Blank, George Warden, & Morris Tomlinson.
