Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the 10:30 a.m. services at Iroquois West High School, Gilman. Revs. James Small and Connie Williams Moodie will officiate.
Burial will be in Wenger Cemetery, Gilman.
She was born June 11, 1949, in Dothan, Ala., the daughter of Forest C. Sr. and Verginia E. Whitmer Hanna.
She married Rodney Lee Schriefer Aug. 14, 1976 in Gilman.
Surviving are two sons, Ryan Schriefer of Champaign, Ross Schriefer at home; her mother of Onarga; many nieces and nephews; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Forest C. Jr. and Eileen Hanna of Crescent City, William E. and Barbara Hanna of DeKalb, Howard W. and Betty Hanna of St. Anne; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Judi and Dick Walters of Decatur, Mary and Carl Bork and her twin sister, Rita J. and Gary Perkinson, all of Onarga.
She was a graduate of Gilman High School and the Lakeview School of Nursing, Danville.
Mrs. Schriefer had been a nurse at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee, for 10 years. She had also worked with her husband in the Pioneer Seed business.
She was a member of the Onarga Christian Church, where she was an officer of the Ladies Christian Fellowship. She taught Sunday School for many years. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge.
She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors and a founding member of the Moms in Touch for Iroquois West School.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She collected antique glassware and was the family medical advisor.
