She was the daughter of John Joseph(?) (1852-1923) and Sarah Ann McGinnis (1855-1902) Maloney.

Her mother died in 1902 and her Aunt 'Bid' Bridget Bowers raised her and her eight brothers and sisters.

She married about 1936 (probably in Buffalo, Erie Co, New York); her husband: Joseph Vincent Foose (1886-1979). They had no children. Joseph is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Buffalo, New York.

Nellie worked for Big 4 Railroad. She transferred from Indianapolis to Buffalo, New York where she me her husband-to-be, Joseph Foose. Nellie died of a massive stroke.

Nellie died at age 76 years 2 months 12 days.
