My 6th great grandfather (through his oldest son James) was the first white person to settle in what is now Blount County, Tennessee. He built the McTeer Fort and brought people in to live in the area. He served in the Revolutionary War in the Cumberland Co Penn. Mil. He was a father of many. Birthdate may have been January instead of March. Husband to Agnes Ann Martin. Son of James McTeer and Margaret Anderson.
