Luella Mae Wetherell Moe
( April 16, 1924 - December 8, 2001 )
Luella Mae Moe, 77, of Lebanon died Saturday at Lebanon Community Hospital.
She was born in Poplar, Minnesota, the daughter of Lee and Neva ( Chapin ) Wetherell. She lived in Minnesota until she was 13 when she moved to Oregon with her family. She lived in Sweet Home for several years before moving to Lebanon in 1958, where she had resided since.
She married Melvin Moe on October 27, 1939, in Albany. He died on August 31, 1992.
Mrs. Moe enjoyed flowers, crocheting, and bingo. She was a past member of the Women of the Moose and the Rebekah's Lodge in Sweet Home.
She is survived by son Gary Moe of Albany; daughters Beverly Kennel of Albany, and Linda Estill of Lebanon; brothers Loren Wetherell of Lebanon and Melvin Wetherell of Roseburg; sisters Mildred Turk of Lebanon and Lillian Perry of Blodgett; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 3 to 8p.m. Wednesday at the Huston-Jost Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2p.m. Thursday at Huston-Jost, with pastor Tom Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at the Lebanon L.O.O.F. Cemetery.
