MRS. HAMIL
MARTINSV ILLE, Ind --- Mrs. Mattie Lou Hamil, 90 of Martinsville, formerly of Lanett, died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996 at Grandview Convalescent Home in Martinsville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. J. H. King officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfax Cemetery.
She is survived by six sons, Jesse Hamil of Selma, Grady Hamil of Augusta, Ga., David Hamil of Burton, S. C., Kenneth Hamil of Las Vegas, Nev., Wayne Hamil of California and Bill Hamil of Brownsburg, Ind.; three daughters, Thelma Hamil of Opelika, Clara Mae Reaves of Valley and Tera Baggett of Martinsville, Ind; a brother, Raymond Dean of Talladega; 36 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
a native of Clay County, Ala., Mrs. Hamil was born May 20, 1906. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Morgan County, Indiana for the past 10 years. She had been in declining health for the past several years.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
