Anchorage resident Kil Young Hwang, 74, died Nov. 8, 2001, at Alaska Native Medical Hospital's transitional care unit. A funeral was held at Witzleben's Bragaw Chapel.
Mr. Hwang was born Sept. 20, 1927, in South Korea and was a resident of Anchorage. His family said he was considered a very honest person who will be greatly missed by all members of Cornerstone Korean Church. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and was a born-again Christian.
Mr. Hwang is survived by his wife, Ok J. Hwang; sons and daughters-in-law, Bong T. and Hwang and Jung Lee, Bong S. Hwang and Soo Park, and Bong D. Hwang; daughter and son-in-law, Sun Moon Hwang and Doo W. Lee; grandchildren, Easter Hwang, and Rebecca and Samuel Lee.
