Funeral services for Mrs. Mentie E. Potter, age 58, who passed away after a short illness Jan. 20, were conducted at Many Methodist church at 10 a.m. Jan. 22 with Rev. J. W. Matthews officiating. Interment was in Prospect cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral home. Pallbearers were her nephews, George A. Davis, Herman Davis, Don Davis, Jerry Davis, Albert Clanan and Allen Clanan. Survivors were two sons, PFC Jerry D. Potter of Fort Riley, Kansas, and Wallace Potter of Florien, four daughters, Mrs. Mary Reardon, Berlin, N. H.; Mrs. Dorothy Franklin of Lake Charles, Mrs. Agnes DeKeyzer of Many and Mrs. Nellie Potter of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Clanan of Many, Mrs. Frank Mooney of DeRidder, Mrs. Princess Winn of Magnolia, Texas, five brothers, W. B. Davis of Minden, B. F. Davis of Florien, Suil Davis of Magnolia, Texas, L. C. Davis of Pasadena, Texas, Charlie Davis of DeRidder and 12 grandchildren.
