Eugene F. Wolf, 85, formerly of Sedalia, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 1988, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was born Aug. 11, 1903, in Fortuna, son of Urban L. and Louisa Worley Wolf. On Nov. 15, 1923, in Tipton, he married Alpha Williams, who died earlier. He later married Catherine Sawicki, who survives of the home.
Mr. Wolf joined the 128th Field Artillary division of the Missouri National Guard on Aug. 7, 1928. This unit was mobilized in November 1940. He served in Germany from 1944 to 1947 and Japan and Korea from 1951 to 1953. He was a lifetime member of the Military Order of the World Wars and was presented the Patrick Henry medallion for patriotic achievement. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1960, after 32 years of service. Prior to his military career, he was employed for 17 years at the Missouri Pacific Shops.
Other survivors include four sons, Melvin Wolf, Las Vegas, Nev.; Daniel L. Wolf, Sedalia; Kenneth Paul Wolf, Gig Harbor, Wash.; Gerald Wolf, Riverside, Calif.; two daughters, Patricia McCaleb, Fullerton, Calif.; Carolyn Kedigh, Jordon, Utah; three brothers, Vincent Wolf, Green Ridge; Sylvester Wolf, Tipton; Louis Wolf, Conyers, Ga.; two sisters, Nora Embry, Tipton; Helen Vickers, Sedalia; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Scottsdale.

Burial with full military honors were conducted at St. Francis Mausoleum, Scottsdale.

He is located in the Resurrection Mausoleum, Alcove 3, Tier 4, Row 8044.
