GRANT HANLIN
Washington, Pa., May 29- Grant Hanlin, aged 90, the oldest man in Washington county, died at his home at Hanlin station yesterday. Mr. Hanlin, the son of Alexander Hanlin, was born on a farm near Hanlin station. For 50 years he operated a grist mill at Hanlin station. He was an old-style miller and did not believe in modern milling machinery. He always used the old-fashioned stone burrs for grinding the grain. He was interested in the breeding and exhibition of fine cattle and since the first Burgettstown fair 50 years ago he did not miss attending the stock exhibition until last year. In 1848 Mr. Hanlin married Miss Sarah Fink of Cross Creek. He leaves his widow, nine children and 28 grandchildren. Mr. Hanlin was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was a Republican.
