Oron B. Smith, 70, of 504 Water St., Warren, died in Hamot Hospital at 11:30 p.m. Dec. 24. He had been a patient there for two weeks.
He was born in Bradleytown Dec. 21, 1900, the son of the late Samuel and Hattie Battin Smith. He had lived in Bradleytown until 18 years ago when he moved to Warren.
He was an employee of the state hospital in Warren. He was a member of the Bradleytown IOOF.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. Smith; one son of Albion, one daughter of Pittsfield, one sister, Mrs. Wilson Sweet of Warren and six grandchildren.
Interment will be in Chapmanville Cemetery.
