"Cook—Died of the smallpox, at the Smallpox Hospital in Mobile, Alabama, on the 4th day of April, 1866, Mr. James A. Cook, Sergeant of Co. E, 21st Mo. V. V. Inf. He was the son of Richard V. Cook, Esq. of Knox County, Missouri."
