Hilda J. Harms, 76, Richmond, Ill., died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Valley Hi Nursing Home, Woodstock, Ill.
She was born Aug. 26, 1927, in Genoa City, the daughter of John and Clara Thomsen Amborn.
She married Lloyd Charles Harms May 25, 1946, in Woodstock. He died April 30, 1990.
She was a 1945 graduate of Genoa City High School and worked as a sales clerk for Ed's Antiques, Richmond, for 15 years.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Richmond.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Barrie, Machesney Park, Ill., Diana Benthein, Rio Rancho, N.M., and Lynne Geuzendam, McHenry; a son, David, West Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen Miller, Crandon, and Anna "Toddy" Markee, Hebron. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Jepsen, and two brothers, Jes and John "Manny" Amborn.
Visitation was at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, Richmond. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 5, at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Dufur officiating. Interment was in Sanborn-Orvis Cemetery, Spring Grove, Ill. The family suggested memorials to the Sanborn-Orvis Cemetery.
