Agnes Andrews dies after long illness Mrs. Agnes Andrews, 95, of 122 South Sixth street, a resident of Decatur for more than 60 years, died at 11:25 o'clock Friday morning at the Adams county memorial hospital, where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had been in failing health for three years. A lifelong resident of Adams county, she was born in Monroe March 18, 1871, a daughter of Dr. Charles T. and Nancy Jane Gilpin-Rainer, and was married to Dr. O. P. M. Andrews in August of 1895. Her husband preceded her in death in 1897. Mrs. Andrews lived in Monroe until 1902, when she moved to Decatur. She was a member of the First Methodist church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Walter J. (Cecile) Krick, with whom Mrs. Andrews made her home, and Mrs. Roger (Celia) Swaim of Bluffton; one son, Harry C. Andrews of Decatur, route 4; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Zwick funeral home, with Rev. Melvin Seeger officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today until time of the services.
