Peter Ross Davidson laid the foundation for his education in a little log school-house of his native county, and also there learned the carpenters trade at which he worked until 1883, when he came to his present home in Union Township, Van Wert county, having purchased 140 acres of woodland, sixty acres of which he has cleared by his own labor and this he has under drained and brought to a high state of cultivation. In 1893 he moved to Fulton Co., Indiana where he went to recuperate the energies he had expended on his farm, but his business interest demanding his attention, returned to his farm the same year. He married Mary E. Diltz, in 1874.

Peter Davidson, 84, of Union Township died Tuesday night at 10 o'clock at his home southwest of Scott. He had been in failing health for a long time with complications due to infirmities. He is survived by his wife. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in Asbury M. E. Church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery east of Delphos.
