The Rev. Lee Wilson, Rev. Brian Welch and Rev. Lawton Sammons officiated, and burial was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Beth McCleskey provided soft music, and Brenda Cown and Sandra Sword sang "A Better Place to Go," and "I need no Mansion." Instrumental version of "How Great Thou Art," and "Rock of Ages" also were played.
Pallbearers were Jeffery Jones, Jim Parks, James Bledsoe, Herschel Bledsoe, Carroll Bledsoe and Wayne Peavy.
A native of Taylor County, Mrs. Bledsoe was the daughter of the late Turner E. Lane and Maggie Rowland Lane. She was a member of Liberty Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Mrs. Bledsoe served as a Pink Lady at Dooly Memorial Center and was employed as a cashier at All State Truck Stop in Unadilla. She was married to the late Herschel Bledsoe.
Surviving her are three sons, Robert Bledsoe of Santee,CA, Herbert Bledsoe of Vienna and Charles M. Bledsoe of Dry Branch; two daughters, Nan B. Jones of Loganville and Alice B. Parks of Cobb; 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. The family request that memorial gifts be made to Liberty Cemetery Fund, c/o Charles Bowen, 2304 Findlay Rd., Pinehurst 31070.
