Carol, our loving wife, daughter, sister and mother passed away from Cancer on September 1, 2008 and will be truly missed by all.

Carol was born on February 1, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to RGW and Donna Frisbey. She grew up in SLC and graduated from Highland High School in 1961 and went on to receive her Bachelors degree from the University of Utah. Years later Carol returned to the U of U and received her Masters Degree in Education. Her passion for teaching led Carol on a 35 year career in teaching elementary school. Her favorite subjects to teach were history, art and music. Carol was strict with the kids, but all respected her with her dedication toward their educational success and personal growth. She also coordinated many school musical programs and had fun art projects with her students. Carol returned to teaching after a brief retirement and mentioned that it felt like "coming home." Carol's hobbies included playing the piano, music, interior decorating, traveling and playing tennis and golf. She actually had a hole-in-one at Mountain Dell Golf Course. Other interests were creating flower arrangements which led to her having her own business called "Wreaths & Things." Hard working, self motivated, outgoing, and generous were just a few of Carol's admirable traits. When she put her mind to accomplish a goal no challenge was too difficult. Carol always uplifted people's spirits by taking time to listen. Carol loved spending time with her grandsons Dallas and Corbin. She especially enjoyed going to all of their school activities and athletic events. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions.

Carol is survived by her husband Glen Smith, mother Donna Frisbey, her two children Matthew Leonard and Stacey Adamson (Richard), sister Susann Mercer (John), brother Jerry Frisbey (Nona), sister Bonnie Kulas and four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father RGW Frisbey.

Funeral Services will be held on September 5, 2008 at the Union Fort 6th Ward Chapel, 6710 South 1300 East at 11 a.m. Friends and family may attend a viewing on September 4, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. located at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City and from 10-11 a.m. at the Ward Chapel prior to the services.
