She was born April 18, 1906, in Booneville, Ark., to John and Annie(Cartwright)Lamb. She graduated from Booneville schools.
On June 7, 1933, she married Clyde Rainey in Shawnee and he preceded her in death on Oct 22, 1958.
A licensed practical nurse, Mrs Rainey worked at Shawnee Sunset Estates Nursing Home and at the local hospitals as a private duty nurse. Most recently, she worked for Project Heart.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the LPN Association.
Surviviors include her daughter and son-n-law, Clydne and Jim Brooks, Shawnee; grandson James Brooks of Shawnee; granddaughter Brandy Brooks Shawnee.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike Craig officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.
