Esther Fay Braught, 87, a resident of The Dalles since 1948, died at the hospital on Oct. 13.
She was born June 11, 1896 in Spencer, Iowa. Her husband, John Donald Braught, died in 1972.
Survivors include two daughters, Marl Johnson, The Dalles, and Flora Evans in North Dakota; two sons, Franklin Braught, Lebanon and Kenneth Braught, The Dalles; 10 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Abbey Irwin, Long Beach, Calif.
Graveside services will be at The Dalles I00F Cemetery at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin Riley officiating.
Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
