George L. Patton Sr. 58 of East Jordan, died Oct. 29, 1995 at Charlevoix Area Hospital. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the Paullin Funeral Home in East Jordan. The Rev. Robert Herbon will officiate Burial will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery East Jordan.
Mr. Patton was born Aug. 6 1937, in Alden, the son of Herman and Mary (Nickerson) Patton. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957. He moved to East Jordan in 1958. He worked for Detroit Molding and Engineering in Charlevoix for the last 30 years. He had been a member of the Jordan River Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On Oct. 14, 1963, in Boyne City he married the former Norma J. Gee.
He is survived by his wife, Norma of East Jordan; three children, George Patton Jr. of East Jordan, Robin Patton of Boyne City , and Jerry Patton of Oceanside, Calif. three grandchildren; George Patton III of East Jordan, Shianne Patton of East Jordan and Taylor Patton of Boyne City, his parents Herman and Mary Patton of East Jordan, four brothers;, James (Linda) Patton of East Jordan, Willard (Mary) Patton of Boyne Falls, Randy (Penny) of Elkhart, Ind. and Chris (Diane)Patton of East Jordan, two sisters, Karen Frohriep of Mount Clemens and Sharon (Mike) Murphy of Gordonsville, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews .
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Patton in 1990.
