Momma was born in High Shoals, her daddy was Lewis and her Momma was Ida Worley Mathis.Her Momma died when she was six years old.
She was a member of Sunset Lane Baptist Church in Bessemer City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Burnett; stepmother, Maude Mathis; son, Danny Parton; brother, Ed Mathis; and son-in-law, (Rita's husband), Marty McDaniel.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Rita McDaniel of Bessemer City, Myra Stillwell and husband, Glenn, of Gastonia, Lisa Myers of Gastonia; step-brother and step-sister,Sam Greene of San Antonio, Texas; and Iva Ottinger of Bessemer City; and daughter-in-law, Sally Parton of Gastonia;
She had 10 grandchildren, Danny's daughter, Sherrie Parton Baity, Rita's four children, Shane Kanipe, Christina, Christopher and Shayna McDaniel, Myra's three children, Danny Harris, J.J. and Lacey Stillwell and Lisa's two children, Joseph Burnett and Ryan Myers.
She had seven great-grandchildren,Matthew Baity (Danny's grandson), Raven and Chloe Kanipe, Alex Painter (Rita's grandchildren)Dustin,Austin and Madison Harris(Myra's grandchilden) and two great granddaughters(Haven Laircey, Myra's granddaughter, due in June,Hannah Kanipe,Rita's granddaughter)due in June, Marissa Burnett (Lisa's Granddaughter)due in October.
