Ernest Hershberger, 70, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Roane County, died Thursday in the Green Cross Hospital in Akron.

Born in Roane County, January 22, 1902, a son of the late Kester H. and Jane Looney Hershberger, he was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church, and a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

Surviving are his widow, Iva Romine hershberger; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Parsons of Akron, O., and Mrs. Norma Badgett of Tucker, Ga.; one son, James of Akron, O.; three sisters, Mrs. J. N. Holland of Looneyville, Mrs. Hettie Woodling of Akron, O., and Mrs. Laura Eddleman of Los Angeles, Calif.; two half sisters, Mrs. Ruth Vineyard of Clifton, Mass., and Mrs. Pauline Jones of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Lon of Clendenin and W. P. of Procious; five half-brothers, Lloyd Lynch of Belle, Opie, Paul and Harley Hershberger, all of Clendenin, and Frank Hershberger of Blue Creek; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 10, at the Vandale Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Badgett officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
