"Carberry, William - Buried September 6, 1904. Mr. Carberry died in a Ventura hospital of blood poisoning from a dog bite. He was a Union soldier in the Civil War. He owned a home in the Matilija Canyon prior to the 1890's. He had a son named Joseph. Mr. Carberry is buried in the far northeast section on the cemetery."
