Passed Away At Home of Son In Hastings, Nebraska

Funeral services were held at the Anderson Funeral Home here on Monday for Mrs. Emma Alexander, mother of George Alexander of this community. Burial was in the Bloomfield Cemetery. Services were in charge of the minister of the Royal Church of Truth and pallberers were also from Royal. Mrs. Alexander had resided in Royal for a number of years. Music was also furnished by the Royal church chior.
Mrs. Alexander passed away on Saturday, Dec. 18, at Hastings, Nebraska, where she had been residing with her son, Harry Alexander and family. Since her husband's death in 1946 she had resided with her children, spending some time with all of them.
Obituary:
Emma Clark was born on June 10, 1864, at Belle Plain, Iowa, and passed away at Hastings, Nebraska, on December 18, 1948, at the age of 84 years, 6 months, and 8 days.
In 1882 she was united in marriage to Elias Alexander and to this union eight children were born. Two daughters, Anna and Margaret, preceeded her in death, as did her husband who passed away in February 1946.
There are three sons and three daughters who are left to mourn her passing: George of Bloomfield, Nebr.,Harry of Hastings, Nebr.,Mrs. Sophia Hank, Ponca, Nebr.,Mrs.Addie Fritz, Omaha, Nebr., Charlie, Mondale, Iowa, and Mrs. Lottie Russell of Mission, South Dakota. A brother Frank Clark of Rich Hill, Missouri, and a number of other relatives and friends survive her.
In addition to all children those from out-of-town attending the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alexander of Omaha, Nebr., and Mr. and Mrs. Leanard Bratetic of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Russell and son of Misson, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Hank of Luverne, Minn., Faie Alexander of Waukegan, Ill., Mrs. Calvin Rutt of Hastings, and Albert Kaminski of Chicago.
