Mary Jane Ida Arvilla Swan was the daughter of William Swan and Sarah Jane Kathleen Haley Swan. She was first married to William P. Kennedy and they had three children: Mary C., Sarah Lily Melvinne, and George Jackson (our dad). She then married to Robert Marshall Davenport and they had the following children: Henry Rufus, Walter Isaac, and William Youree.
