Funeral services for Cora E. Doyen, 64, who died Thursday morning in a local hospital after a short illness, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o`clock in the Methodist church, the Rev. Herman A. Grant officiating. Bearers were M.E. Smith, Eldon Webber, Elwood Kinney, and Leland Smith.

The deceased was born in Castle Hill, daughter of Robert and Nancy Porter McHatten. A resident of Mapleton most of her life, she had lived in Presque Isle for the past two years. She was a member of the W.C.T.U. and the Rebekah lodge here.

Surviving are two brothers, Norman McHatten of Chapman and Herbert McHatten of Castle Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
