Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Sweeney-Reser Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Fund.
Born March 1, 1910 in Saline County near Mt. Leonard, he was the son of Oney and Dosia Killion Deal. On July 7, 1934 in Sedalia he was married to Blanche Messer and she survives. Mr. Deal was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a retired rural mail carrier after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Rural Mail Carriers Association and the Moose Lodge of Sedalia.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Judie Deal of Concordia, Kan.; a daughter and son-in-law, Clifford and Judy Morris of Kenner, La.; eight grandchildren, Bryan Deal, Branden Deal, Brad Deal, Sam Deal, Jeff Morris, Scott Morris, Mark Hughey and Marcia Naylor; five great-grandchildren.
