Rea A. Deal, 81, of rural Marshall, died Friday, June 8, 1990, at Columbia Regional Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

Services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 10, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Rev. L. Kyle Hem will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Born Aug. 16, 1908, in Mount Leonard, Mo., he was the son of the late Aubra R. Deal and Lydia Wright Deal. On July 24, 1932, in Nevada, Iowa, he married Alice R. Hellyer, who survives of the home. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and lived in Saline County most of his life. He was a farmer.

Survivors include two daughters, Arlene Borgman and her husband, Gilbert, of Slater, and Barbara Ford and her husband, Grady, of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Harold Rea Deal and his wife Judy, of Nelson; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Russell (Ada Mae) Hills of Kansas City, Kan.

He was preceded in death by three brother and two sisters.
