Alice R. Deal, 78, of rural Napton, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 1994, in Cooper County.

Born June 3, 1916, in Montgomery County, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Isaac Henry and Martha Jane Bentley Hellyer. On July 24, 1932, in Nevada, Iowa, she married Rea A. Deal, who preceded her in death June 8, 1990. She had lived in Saline County since 1932 and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a member of Hardeman Community Club.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Rea Deal of Lawson, Mo., and Henry Deal of rural Nelson; two daughters, Arlene Borgman of rural Slater and Mrs. Grady (Barbara) Ford of Louisville, Ky.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bessie Mae Oaks of Marion, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
