MRS. DONALD EASLER
The many friends of Mrs. Donald Easler of Washburn were saddened by her death which occured Thursday, February 18 at the Northern Maine Sanatorium.
Mrs. Easler, who was formerly Miss Clarice McHatton was born July 21, 1912, the daughter of the late Ervin McHatten of Castle Hill and Margaret Littlefield of Chapman.
Her early life was spent in Castle Hill. In 1930 she was united in marriage with Donald Easler of Washburn.
For several years past, she had been in poor health and for the past 30 months had been a patient at the Sanatorium after an illness of eight weeks at her former home in Castle Hill.
She was of a sweet and gentle disposition and a loving wife and mother. In 1931 her father passed away. She leaves to mourn their loss, her mother, her husband and her two little daughters, Doris aged 5 and Lois 2, also four brothers, Milford, Wilford, Clifford and Linwood and one sister, Lola.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the home of her mother in Castle Hill and were conducted by the Rev. Leslie R. Craig, pastor of the Presque Isle Methodist Church by whom she was recently baptized.
An abundance of beautiful flowers testified to the love and esteem of many friends and relatives. When the Pearly Gates Unfold, Rock of Ages and Light at Eventide were beautifully sung by Mrs. Thomas Dow and daughter, Eleanor of Mapleton.
The four brothers were pall bearers. Interment was made in the family lot at Castle Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of ?? W. Wight and Son.
