Both her Union pension, her obituary, and her interment card support this conclusion. Unfortunately a mistake was made, and her memorial was added to the back of James Bell (not her husband), instead of James W. Bell, her husband.
Her interment card provided the correct date of death, and the correct military for her husband. But, it also includes information about the other soldier, James Bell, and lists the plot number for this soldier, rather than her husband. This is probably the source of the mistake. This James Bell (46702279) died in Knoxville in 1864, and never married.
