PRESQUE ISLE - R. Milford McHatten, 78, died Oct. 29, 1982, at a Presque Isle hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Castle Hill May 29, 1904, the son of Ervin and Margaret (Littlefield) McHatten.

He was engaged in farming for many years, as well as working as a pulp contractor. He was educated in Castle Hill and Mapleton schools.

He is survived by two brother, Clifford L. of Presque Isle and Lynwood L. of Masardis; one sister, Mrs. Lola Delong of Presque Isle; one niece, Dorothy Lavway, and one nephew, Terrance, who have made their home with Mr. McHatten for several years. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Graves Funeral Home, 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at Graves Funeral Home 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Conard E. Stairs officiating. Interment will be in Castle Hill Cemetery.
