CLIFFORD L. MCHATTEN

PRESQUE ISLE - Clifford L. McHatten, 79, died July 5, 1989, at the Aroostook Medical Center after a long illness.

He was born Sept. 29, 1909, in Castle Hill, the son of Ervin and Margaret (Littlefield) McHatten.

He was involved in farming all his life until his retirement. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one sister, Lola M. DeLong; a very special niece, Dorothy Lavway, with whom he resided; three nephews, Frank, Kendall and Terrance Lavway; two sisters-in-law, Jessie McHatten of Waterville and Hazel McHatten of Masardis; sever other nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by a special friend, Leo Jandreau. He was predeceased by two sisters, Helen McHatten and Clarice (McHatten) Easler; three brothers, Milford, Wilford and Lynwood McHatten; and two nephews, Jeffrey and Timothy Lavway.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Poorman officiating. Interment will be in Castle Hill Cemetery, Castle Hill.
