Emma Campbell

Emma Killenbeck, daughter of William and Mary Killenbeck was born January 15, 1864 in Guelph, Canada, and died November 6, 1952, in Belleville, Kan., at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 22 days.

She with her parents, eight sisters and one half-brother went to Detroit, Mich., in 1865, then to Kansas in a covered wagon in 1879, where they settled on a farm in Freedom township, Republic county (sic).

Her mother died in 1883 and her father in 1895. She was married to John H. Campbell March 17, 1895 in Belleville, Kan. In the fall of 1896 they moved to Missouri, where two children were born, Willie in 1900 and Wanda in 1903. In 1904 they came back to Kansas and lived on Mr. Campbell's father's homestead near Wayne.

After the death of Wanda on May 10 (sic), 1918, they moved to Frankfort, Kan., where Willie also passed away in 1932 (sic). Shortley (sic) after Willie's death they moved again to Missouri. Here they lived until October, 1949, when they returned to Belleville.

Her husband was bedfast the last six years of his life. During this time she cared for him in infinite patience, faithfulness and tenderness. He passed away on July (sic) 10 of this year.

Mrs. Campbell passed away November 6 in Belleville at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O.A. McKenzie with whom she and her husband had lived several years.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. James Gray at the Tibbetts Bros. Funeral home Sunday, November 9. Burial was near Wayne.
