Winfield Scott TODD
Former Local Man Dies at St. Petersburg, Fla.
News of the death of Mr. Winfield Scott TODD, aged 68 years, who died at his home in St. Petersburg, Florida, July 6 was received with sincere regrets by a large number of friends in Houma.
Several years ago Mr. TODD was a resident and business man of this city, and later moved to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. TODD had lived three years in St. Petersburg and there the deceased was secretary and treasurer for the Suzanno Ready to wear shop, until failing health forced him to retire a short time ago. His death was the result of complications and a general breakdown.
Mr. TODD was born in Pretty Prairie and was the oldest son in (the)family of John E. and Jane MUMPER TODD, pioneer residents of the county. His remains were brought to Urbana for burial in Oakdale Cemetery. Dr. Harry W. BARR, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of that city officiated.
But three members of the family now survived, a brother, Marion Roger TODD, living northwest of Urbana and the sisters, the Misses Sarah McCormick TODD and Jeane Mumper TODD, from whose home the services were held.
