Margaret Connor Eads, 90, of Columbus, died at 3:06 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.

Born Dec. 5, 1915, in Spurgeon, Indiana, she was the daughter of Thomas and Ida Green Connor. She married Wallace Eads on June 16, 1934. They were married 71 years.

Mrs. Eads was a 1923 graduate of Spurgeon High School. During World War II she worked as a riveter on airplanes in Evansville. She was a retail employee of Snyder's Department Store in Winslow for 25 years.

She was a member of the Winslow United Methodist Church in Winslow and the Winslow Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Eads was a past worthy matron of the Winslow Chapter Rainbow Girls and was a Sunday school teacher, a 4-H leader, and Boy Scout leader. She also served on the Pike County Library Board in Petersburg. Her hobbies included playing bridge, euchre, and bingo and working puzzles.

Mrs. Eads was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Eads, on Aug. 25, 2005, and her nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynette (Jim) Farless of Columbus; a son John (Marsha) Eads of Jackson, Mich.; grandchildren Andrea (Jason) Best and Michael Farless of Columbus; Nathan (Traci) Eads of Rives Junction, Mich.; Adrianne (Matt) Hunter of Lansing, Mich.; Janelle Eads of Jackson, Mich.; and three great-grandchildren, Rachel and Christopher Eads of Rives Junction, Mich. and William Hunter of Lansing, Mich.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at the Four Seasons Retirement Center Chapel with the Rev. Norie Erickson officiating. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at Four Seasons Retirement Center Chapel.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow, with the Rev. Larry Platt officiating.
