Frank Perry Lipker, 71, of Ashland, Ky., died Sept. 7, 2008, in Kings Daughters Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Lipker was born May 17, 1937, in Ironton, Ohio, a son of the late Leo and Lucy Carden Lipker.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Lipker.
He retired from AK Steel in maintenance after 39 years of service, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and of the Methodist faith. He was a member of Ashland BPO Elks 350 and Hampton Masonic Lodge 235 F&AM, and was formerly involved in Ashland Little League.
Surviving are his wife, Almyra Coonrod Lipker of Ashland; two sons, Perry Lipker and wife Jodi of Hilliard, Ohio, and Larry Lipker and wife Dawn of Statesboro, Ga.; and a grandson, Leo Lipker, at home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Michael Osborne. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 9, 2008, at the funeral home.
