Mrs. Mary (Culler) Chenot died Monday evening, August 1, 1938, at her home in Tiffin, Ohio, after an illness of several months. She was born on April 12, 1866, on the farm north of Louisville, Ohio now occupied by the Molly Stark Sanitarium, and was the daughter of David Culler and Elizabeth (Kern) Culler. On January 1, 1888, she was married to Rev. George F. Chenot, who preceded her in death three years ago. The family resided in Louisville for many years but moved to Tiffin in 1913.
Five children were born to Rev. and Mrs. Chenot, all of whom are living; L. Dwight Chenot of Canton; Mrs. Florence Ewing, of Tiffin; Mrs. Pearl Troup, of Akron; Mrs. Edna Richard, of Berkeley, California; and George M. Chenot of Canton. There are eleven grandchildren. Mrs Chenot is also survived by two sisters and five brothers; Mrs. Charles Knepper, of Louisville; Mrs. Lydia Slusser, of Denver, Colorado; John Culler, Goshen, Indiana; Jesse Culler Denver, Colorado; Henry Culler Paris, Ohio; Noah Culler Louisville, Ohio; and Edwin Culler, Fort Collins, Colorado. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30, at the home in Tiffin, and at 2:00 o'clock at Trinity Reformed Church. Burial will be made in Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin, Ohio.
