Ruben Behrens, 95, of Granger died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, peacefully at a local hospital.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walburg, the Rev. Russell Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery in Walburg. Visitation: The family will receive guests 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Behrens, Justin Behrens, Brandon Hutson, John Sanders, Brian Schmitt and Xavier Schmitt. Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Behrens.
Memorials: May be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 2929 FM 972, Walburg, Texas 78626.
He was born Dec. 27, 1911, in San Saba to Carl Behrens and Matilda Mickan Behrens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, and son, Norman Gene Behrens.
Survivors: Son, Kenneth Ray Behrens of Granger; grandchildren, Veronica Behrens, Michael Behrens, Gail Sanders, Mark Behrens and Denise Schmitt; and great-grandchildren, Justin Behrens, Brandon Hutson, Ashley Hall, Christopher Hall, Brandye Hutson, Brooke Behrens, Xavier Schmitt, Clayton Behrens, Hannah Schmitt, Shae Behrens, Allison Sanders and Laken Behrens.
